The Allan House, also known as the "wedding cake house," overlooks downtown from its perch in Rosedale. The house was designed by amateur architect Mil Bocking (see her obituary) and is listed in the Inventory of Historic Resources (see listing). I have no idea where the plans might be, if they still exist. Famed photographer Yousuf Karsh photographed the house for an article in the 1 January 1954 issue of Maclean's.
